It's been a while since I did an update on the BirchBox so I thought I'd fill you in on how these monthly treats have been. Overall, I'm still very happy with them! There does seem to be a pattern of 3-4 really good boxes, and then one so-so box. But even the so-so boxes have a few items that I end up really enjoying!
I know there are handful of other great monthly style, beauty, and food boxes you can get but I think BB is still the best all around product subscription for the cost ($10.00). I think the most important key to any of these subscriptions is the update your profile frequently to ensure you get more of types of products you enjoy, and then make sure you actually use them. The samples don't do you any good sitting in the drawer!
My profile gives me a mix of make-up, skin care, hair, and lifestyle (food mostly) products. This month's box was themed for rainy days and was filled with 6 goodies: A Kind Bar, N4 Clarifying Shampoo, N4 Reconstructing Masque, Supergoop City Sunscreen Repair Serum, Sumita Jamun Contrast Eye pencil and Color Club Nail Lacquer in Breakfast At.
I used the eye pencil this weekend and loved the rich purple color and the smooth texture. I also wore the sweet green polish to our Easter celebrations and loved it! I'm bringing the Kind Bar and the shampoo and masque on a work trip this week (love that these are always travel sized!) and will let you know how they go!
If you are still on the fence about BB, I would recommend you buy a 3 month subscription for $30.00. Try it out and see what you think!
