Son of a peach, it's Friday! I'm so excited we will be home this weekend again! I kinda want to get movies and lock ourselves in the house. It is F1 weekend here in Austin, and it is CraZY anywhere near downtown...the traffic makes it not worth trying to get out to do anything.
Before I jump head first into our weekend, I wanted to share some of my favorite from this week!
1. First Fire Of The Season - On Tuesday Austin got a good sized cold front this week which sent this city running for their wool coats, tall boots, and hot cocoa. In my house it meant we got to make a pallet and enjoy our first fire of the season. As I was sitting there soaking up all the heat, and enjoying every little crackle of the fire, my holiday excitement got extreme. #CheerMeister

2. Eggnog - Yes, I consumed eggnog before Thanksgiving. I blame my super kind man friend who surprised
me after dinner one night with two glasses.
Cheers to holiday drinks!
3. The Ugly Laugh – Every year my sweet sister in law puts our faces into these holidayvideos of dancing elves, or snowman and sends them out on Facebook for all to see. This year she made us reindeer and can I say, we have some moves. I could not stop laughing, the ugly loud kind, at work, where it was completely silent. You must see this...

4. First Homemade Crust - I broke out my domestic self this week
and made my first homemade pie crust for a fresh pumpkin pie we were
craving. It turned out amazing. If Martha Stewart and I were in a bake off, I
might kick her butt.
5. Date Night - Thursday date night with bubbles and pizza at The Grove...#Loveit

ReplyDeleteohh I agree on staying in and doing movies -it juts hit low 30's here in VA at night so snuggling is a must! By the way- ALWAYS a good laugh with jibjab haha glad you reminded me! Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteYAY to fire fire of the season. THE BEST. and girl...those jibjab videos NEVER get old to me. the best thing we did one year was save the ridiculous picture and order it on a mug. they still make us laugh when we drink our coffee out a a mug with our family (and dogs) as elves. HA!!!

I've been trying to resist buying eggnog but I'm so close to giving in - I think it's going to happen on my next shopping trip. Eggnog + a wood-burning fire (+ some bourbon) = a wonderful, relaxing evening :)
ReplyDeleteI keep telling myself that I am going to make my first homemade crust this year, but it still hasn't happened yet... Hopefully soon! Stopping by from the link-up. Happy Friday!
