The G.S.D. Weekend

Happy Monday Loves.  How was your weekend?! I hope it was a little more eventful than mine!

Most of my weekend was spent finishing up the last minute to-do's for our annual customer event that begins today.  For the next three days I will be living and breathing this event, and I'm praying that the last 5 months of planning will translate into a successful event.  This is kinda like planning a wedding all over again, except for the fact that if it goes horribly, I might lose my job.  At least with a wedding you can pretty much plan that no matter what, you will be married at the end of it.  All jokes aside, I love event planning and do think it will go well.  But, I am looking forward to Friday night when I can look back and feel good that it's done!

The other spare moments of this weekend were spent doing a little fall decorating....

.....and locking myself in our bedroom during a long nighttime storm that took away our power for a few hours. Can I just say that I think it is a little funny that the second time I've stayed at our new house by myself we had a severe thunderstorm that flooded parts of Austin (12 inches in a few hours), and had enough lighting to light the city for days.  Thankfully Tanner was able to talk me off the cliff and walk me through finding and lighting candles in place of calling 911 for help:)
I also took an hour to get my nails done.  Nothing like the first fall color of the season.  Loving wine on lips and nails!
The man friend left me at home this weekend to work while he went dove hunting with my family.  I was all up in his business from the moment he walked in the door.  I don't like being away from him all weekend. To show him how much I missed him, I helped brush his teeth...then he decided to return the favor.  Yes, that is closeness...
Love this face.

So I have posts ready for y'all all week, but I will be a little MIA on returning emails and following up on comments.  I hope y'all's week is off to a great start!

  1. Haha the toothbrush pictures had me giggling! I hate being home alone during storms too. I don't blame you a bit for hiding out! New friend from Sami's link-up :)
