Taking Care Of Your Skin - A Daily Routine

Your skin is the first thing you see when getting ready in the morning.  It can bring you a lot of stress or a lot of joy.  And unless you are Miranda Kerr, it requires a lot of attention and care to keep it looking it's best.  As mentioned in previous posts, my skin care routine has been pretty consistent but I haven't put a lot of energy into the products I've been using.  I've struggled with blemishes like everyone, and I know wrinkles will be coming in my future. I've used a lot of the drug store brands like Neutrogena, and Olay, as well as department store brands like Elizabeth Arden and Clinique.  Out of both types, my skin did best with Elizabeth Arden.  But I know there are other great products out there that my skin may like better, so in an effort to keep my skin looking and feeling it's best, I decided to do a little research and testing on new products.

Over the last 3 month's I've tried a few different product lines and have landed on the routine below.  I have combination skin, but mainly lean on the dry side.  My skin is pretty sensitive to new products, but did relatively well while I tried out these.  In my research, Philosophy kept coming up as a great line for combination skin, early aging care, and blemishes. They also allow customers to purchase "trial kits" of their most popular lines to test the products before purchasing the full size products, which is great!  I tested their Clear & Balanced line, Radiant & Refined line, and their Miracle Worker line; I loved products from each line, but landed on the Miracle Worker line.

My current morning and evening routine is below.

I'd love to hear about your experience with Philosophy or other skin care lines you use.

  1. I live the Philosophy Purity face wash. I have dry, sensitive skin, too, and I've tried so many different products but keep coming back to this one! I don't need a separate makeup remover with it, which I love, and it's still super gentle and non-stripping! I have been going back and forth about getting a Clarisonic. I'm glad it's working for you!
