How was yall's weekend!? We had one of those weekends of great expectations, you know the ones where you plan to knock off the mile long to-do list, finish a great D.I.Y. and do those piles of laundry that have been haunting you all week. Real HWOFY (House-Wife-Of-The-Year) shenanigans. But, that didn't quite happen. After an inventory of our not-so-clean house and laundry piles, it would seem that I blacked out and only did the fun stuff. Whoops...
We started Saturday off with some gloomy weather and a lot of laziness. After a glance at the to-do list, I decided that errands would be better than laundry. But a few hours of errands turned into all day affair full of lunch at a new hamburger spot, World Market, Lowes, HomeGoods, Kohls, Pier 1, home again, then dinner with jazz music, and finally grocery shopping. The highlight of the errands was picking up the new chairs we've been waiting for in our formal living. The color and design was exactly what I spent the last year looking for. But when we got them home and positioned them next to the couch, they looked mini. So back to the drawing board on those.
Sunday Funday started with a photo session Tanner won with Fore Photos through submitting our love story. That man is full of surprises. We took the photos at an amazing building in East Austin; it had a great rustic urban feel. I can't wait to share them with yall! We finished the session up with brunch at El Arroyo, and a nap. I love me some Sunday naps. It was also very needed for the late night we had planned with dinner and a concert. For Valentines, I bought Tanner tickets to see Citizen Cope. We started the night with dinner at III Forks, and then headed over for an amazing acoustic set. We both left the concert with a man crush.
Heres to a great week loves!
